Ohio State's Max Klare is going to make one NFL Franchise very happy when he joins their team at the end of April

Ohio State's Max Klare didn't become a household name in Columbus in his one year here, but that has no correlation to what he will be at the NFL level.

Everyone's focus, and rightfully so, is on the top of the first round in this NFL Draft. Ohio State is going to dominate the first round, and then the rest of the players will sprinkle in the later rounds.

One of those players is tight end Max Klare.

Klare spent the first three years of his career at Purdue, where he put together a very solid career. Over three seasons, Klare played about a year and a half and put together decent numbers. He had 73 catches, 881 yards, and four touchdowns to his name in West Lafayette.

Then, when he transferred to Ohio State, he was probably at times the No. 5 option on the offense. Because of that, he only had 43 catches for 448 yards and two touchdowns.

He never stood out on the field, mostly because the field was filled with elite players everywhere else.

On Thursday's episode of The Mina Kimes Show, she hosted NFL analyst Benjamin Solak, and they were discussing different players available in the draft. When they got on the topic of Max Klare, they both were totally enamoured by what they see in the transplant Buckeye.

Kimes said that it is so easy to see Klare in an NFL offense, one of his best traits and abilities is blocking and not being afraid of contact, and most importantly, he is very good with the ball in his hands.

She made a very solid point that in today's NFL, the best receivers are very good after the catch, not just getting open. Guys like George Kittle and Travis Kelce are elite because when they are running with the football, they are nearly impossible to tackle.

That's not to suggest that Klare is on that level, but he is definitely close to it with the ball in his hands.

Solak went even further to suggest that he is a "locked and loaded" round two or round three pick that will make an impact on an NFL team. He compared him to Dallas's tight end Jake Ferguson, and if that is who he is, whoever gets him this year is going to love what they have in him.
