Former Ohio State Buckeyes star Marvin Harrison Jr. is receiving more trade buzz around the NFL.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. continues to draw trade buzz in the NFL after a rough start to the season with the Arizona Cardinals.

Harrison has just four receptions for 73 yards through the first three games of the season. The 24-year-old came out of college as one of the best receiver prospects ever, but he has struggled in the NFL.

In his rookie season in 2024, he had 62 receptions for 885 yards and eight touchdowns, which was a solid season. His numbers dipped in 2025, as he finished with 41 receptions for 608 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games.

Harrison is now on pace for the worst season of his career, and a new situation could be what he needs.

Ohio State Wide Receivers in the NFL

The Buckeyes have developed some elite wide receivers over the years who have translated into stars in the NFL.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba is the most notable, as he was selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, won the Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2025, and helped the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl.

He had an incredible 2021 season at Ohio State, showcasing his potential, as he had 95 receptions for 1,606 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Buckeyes have also had star wide receivers Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Emeka Egbuka, and others go on to have productive NFL careers.

Ohio State will see their next star wide receiver move up to the NFL after the 2026 season, as Jeremiah Smith will likely declare for the 2027 NFL Draft. Smith has been sensational for Ohio State and will be a key piece as they look to make it back to the College Football Playoff.

If Harrison is traded, he could thrive in a new situation and reach his full potential.
