Wide receiver Jett Harrison is going to be the most coveted player in the 2028 cycle, and he already is collecting offers.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are not a thing or two about the Harrison family. While Marvin Harrison Sr. started his Hall of Fame career at Syracuse, Marvin Jr. was a staple at Ohio State and truly one of the top wide receivers to ever put on the Scarlet and Gray.
While Marvin Jr. was absolutely one of the best Buckeye wideouts ever, there is a legitimate chance that he isn't the best one in his family.
MH2's younger brother, Jett, has all of the makings of being one of the next great wideouts in America, and the Buckeyes want to make sure that he is in Columbus.
Harrison filmed a little clip earlier this week announcing the status of his recruitment in the 2028 class. While holding a football in front of St. Joe's Prep, he said that at this point, he has received around 20 offers. The top ones are Ohio State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Dad's old school, Syracuse.
One of those is certainly not like the other, but it is very clear that Harrison is going to be the most coveted player in next year's cycle.
As it stands right now, he is evaluated as almost the perfect prospect. He has a 96.46 rating and is listed as a five-star prospect according to Rivals.
It is a little bit of a stretch to begin looking at predictions right now, but Ohio State is currently in the top spot, and there is so much time to go. One team that he didn't mention is the Penn State Nittany Lions, whom Harrison has at least some interest in.
Jett still has a bit of growing left to do. He is listed currently at 6'1" and just 175 pounds. Marvin Jr. played at Ohio State at 6'3", so there is hopefully a growth spurt in Jett's future. If there isn't, he still has all of the tools to be great.
He has an elite combination of ball skills and route-running ability at such a young age; he is only going to get so much better. As a sophomore last year, he hauled in 15 touchdown passes to get his career off to a great start.
As he heads into his junior and senior seasons, his legend will only continue to grow, and the hope in Columbus is that he follows the same route as his older brother.
