FOX College Football analyst Joel Klatt dropped his first mock draft and had a new team selecting one of the Buckeyes' stars.

The conscenous is that is that the Ohio State Buckeyes are going to have five first-round selections in April's 2026 NFL Draft; the only question that remains is where they will land.

FOX College Football analyst Joel Klatt dropped his Mock Draft 1.0 on Monday, and he, too, had five Buckeyes in the first round. His main difference from some other mocks is that he has Kayden McDonald selected.

Pick No. 2: New York Jets Select Arvell Reese (EDGE)

Yes, I have him labeled as an edge defender because that is where Reese is going to thrive in the NFL. He showed that in his final season in Columbus that when he is healthy, he is nearly impossible to block. He has a rare instinct to get to the quarterback, and he has the chance to make an impact on day one with whatever franchise picks him.

Klatt compared Reese to Abdul Carter from Penn State, who was technically a linebacker at Penn State but plays with his hand in the dirt in the NFL. Reese could become one of the next great game changers in the NFL

Pick No. 5: New York Giants Select Carnell Tate (WR)

If Tate is there at No. 5, the Giants will have the opportunity assemble one of the great, young rosters in the entire NFL. Tate would join an offense that already has Malik Nabers and Cam Skateboo that is quarterbacked by Jaxson Dart.

Tate is NFL-ready right now. Just like all of those in the lineage before him, he has the opportunity and the ability to walk onto an NFL roster and become an impact receiver immediately. Tate to the Giants would help New York begin assembling one of the most explosive offenses in the league.

Pick No. 12: Dallas Cowboys Select Caleb Downs (S)

Downs to Dallas is beginning to feel like fate at this point. Nearly every draft expert is predicting this move, which would be an awesome one for the Cowboys as they try to bolster their defense. Adding one of the great minds in this class would go a long way in trying to fix that defense and get Dallas back into becoming a contending franchise.

Pick No. 15: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select Sonny Styles (LB)

My favorite player in this year's NFL Draft is a guy who improves the roster that he is selected to the moment that the pick is in. The Bucaneers need all of the help that they can get everywhere. They were one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL in 2025 for a lot of reasons, one being that they were one of the worst teams against the run. THey gae up 118 yards per game on the ground, good for 19th in the league.

Styles to Tampa would be a great pick for the Buccaneers, and he would reunite with former teammate Emeka Egbuka.

Pick No. 25: Chicago Bears Select Kayden McDonald (DL)

Now this would be the best fit for any of the Buckeyes going into next year. This is the major surprise from Mock Draft season. McDonald is predicted to go anywhere from picks 25-35, and this is the first time he has been slated to the Bears.

Chicago is set up to have a competitive team for the next 10-15 years, and the task they have right now is to solve their defense. They were the beneficiary of some incredible turnover luck this year and the magic of Caleb Williams. While it made for a fun season, it's not sustainable at all.

McDonald begins to solidify the interior of their defensive line and would be an incredible addition in the Windy City.
