The Ohio State Buckeyes' late run at the end of the season has landed them almost directly in the middle of the Big Ten Tournament bracket.
The Big Ten as a whole has been up and down for the entire year. Outside of the Michigan Wolverines, who have been hands down the leader in the conference for the entire season, spots two through 15 have been a game of musical chairs.
Ohio State was the epitome of that as they put together a season that was marred with inconsistency until the final two weeks. Before their three-game win streak to end the year, they had only one set of back-to-back wins in Big Ten play.
Their story was always a loss following a big win, and they just could never get over the hump and string together big wins.
However, when the program needed a win, they got it.
The Buckeyes caught a broken Purdue team before taking on a heartless Penn State group and finishing with an Indiana opponent that they handled with relative ease.
Now, after Michigan's win over Michigan State and Nebraska's victory over Iowa in the last Big Ten regular season game of the year, the bracket is set, and the Buckeyes landed with a really nice spot.
Ohio State checks in as the eighth seed and will not be taking the floor until the third round on Thursday. As the eight seed, their potential opponents are one of Iowa, Oregon, or Maryland.
If they win that game, they will go to the quarterfinals and have a date with the No. 1 seed Michigan Wolverines with a chance to go to the semifinals. As is tradition, the Big Ten Championship is the final game on Sunday before Selection Sunday commences.
Ohio State's first game will take place on Thursday at noon and will be available on Peacock. The entire tournament gets underway on Tuesday at 5 pm EST with a matchup between No. 16 Oregon and No. 17 Maryland.
