Ohio State continues to prove that it's one of the most dominant wide receiver schools in the country.
It’s a major win for the Ohio State Buckeyes, as five-star wide receiver Jett Harrison has committed per Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong and Hayes Fawcett.
Harrison, the brother of alum Marvin Harrison Jr. and the son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., will join the Buckeyes for the 2028 season.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that he committed to Ohio State, given the lineage and the development of NFL receivers.
Rivals’ scouting director Charles Powell believes that Harrison is among the best receivers in his class. So much so that he has the potential to be even better than his brother.
“I think Jett Harrison’s combination of ball skills and route-running ability is elite at this stage,” Powell said. ““He really comes down with ridiculous catches at a high rate. He looks to have a massive catch radius along with the ability to create constant separation with advance route running.
“His game really took off as a sophomore, highlighted by a four-touchdown performance against national power St. Frances. Everyone is familiar with his Hall of Fame father and top-five pick older brother. While there is a ways to go, Jett is more advanced in his process than his brother at the same stage.”
His father echoed Powell’s statements, but more so gave a nod to Jett’s competitive edge.
“The first and foremost thing is the competitive nature,” Marvin Sr. said. “Competitor is an understatement. The will to win. Obviously myself or his older brother, he’s been around this will to win and losing is not an option. That’s what makes him who he is today. Losing is not an option.”
The Buckeyes wide receiver pipeline only continues to grow, even after wide receiver coach Brian Hartline left to become the head coach at USF.
Chris Henry Jr., was the top wide receiver in the 2026 class and is currently enrolled at OSU as well as Jerquaden Guilford. Additionally, they have a commitment from the third-ranked receiver in the 2027 class, five-star Jamier Brown.
Harrison will begin his junior year this season.
