The Ohio State Buckeyes had another player selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, as Lorenzo Styles Jr. was selected by the New Orleans Saints.
After an incredible weekend for the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2026 NFL Draft, the historic program continued its dominant run on day three, as the New Orleans Saints selected Lorenzo Styles Jr. with the No. 172 pick.
Styles had one of the most intriguing journeys throughout his college career, as the former four-star recruit out of Pickerington Central originally committed to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2021.
However, this would quickly change, as the young playmaker would eventually enter the transfer portal in 2023 and land with the Buckeyes.

Despite transitioning into a new position with the Buckeyes, Styles still managed to carve out a role on defense, recording 16 tackles and four pass deflections during Ohio Stateâs National Championship run in 2024.
Following his success with the Buckeyesâ magical College Football Playoff run, Styles continued to become a key playmaker for the program, tallying 30 tackles and two pass deflections in his final college season.
In addition to his stout play on defense, Styles also managed to become a key difference maker on special teams, which helped improve his stock heading into this yearâs draft.
Now, with Styles joining the Saints in 2026, the 6-foot-1, 195 lbs. weapon projects to be a versatile weapon for New Orleans head coach Kellen Moore.
His incredible athleticism gives him a perfect baseline to establish himself on special teams, which will also grant him an opportunity to be a weapon on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball as a rookie and in the future.
