Former Ohio State Buckeyes pitcher and ESPN employee Kyle Brown passed away suddenly over the weekend. He was 42 years old.
Brown passed away due to a medical emergency he suffered on site while working the College World Series Super Regional between the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Brown was a two-time Emmy Award winner. In addition to his baseball coverage, he also covered college football, NFL, and basketball.
ESPN released a statement on Brown's passing on Sunday.
Former Ohio State baseball coach Bob Todd also mourned Brown's passing on Sunday,
"He played in several big ten tournament championships we had," Todd said. "He was just a great kid to be around. Way too young to leave this earth."
