While we are still months away from the start of a new college football season, that has not stopped the several "way-too-early" predictions from being pumped out over the offseason.
After all, when all there is to cover is spring football and practice the content will reflect that. Some teams have already been dubbed preseason title favorites while others are being written off completely.
Of course, preseason rankings are ultimately useless. Despite that, though, they still exist - and show plenty of love to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
In fact, according to 247Sports' cumulative preseason top 25 polls, the Buckeyes find themselves in the top five.
Under Ryan Day the Buckeyes have consistently been one of the best programs in college football, and it is likely that trend continues on in 2023.
The offense will once again be one of college football's best, and while a slight step back might happen with Stroud heading to the NFL the Buckeyes will likely be in good hands this season.
Of course, as 247Sports pointed out the new hurdle to clear for Ohio State has become beating Michigan after two straight blowout losses. The talent is there for Ohio State, and they will again contend for the Big Ten title - and don't be surprised if they find themselves in the College Football Playoffs once again.
