Former Ohio State superstar wide receiver Carnell Tate is looking to make an immediate and lasting mark on his new hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
Tate announced on Monday that he purchased an unofficial number of his jersey that he is giving out to fans who make the trip to come see him for free. In a post on X, Tate said that he is going to post an address when his jersey shipment arrives and will be giving his jersey out.
It is the best part about Carnell Tate is that while he is an incredible wide receiver, he is an incredible young man. His character was never brought into question at any point, and for good reason.
Tate's character is always on display, and it is as good as it gets. He carries himself with his chin up, giving everyone he interacts with the full amount of respect that they deserve. He is the ultimate teammate, and his character matches his play on the field.
Tate is a superstar on the field. His game is going to translate perfectly from college to the NFL, and he should go from being one of the best wide receivers in college football to one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
The 2025 season for Tate was by far and away his breakout campaign. While running in tandem with Jeremiah Smith, Tate put together a 51 catch, 875 yard and nine-touchdown year in just 11 games.
Last year, in 15 games, he had 52 catches for 733 yards and four touchdowns for the Buckeyes as the No. 3 option.
Tate's game should translate perfectly to the NFL. He is such a mature route runner and plays the wide receiver position like he is already a 10-year veteran.
He is smooth in and out of cuts, precise in his movement, and when the ball is coming towards him, he does everything in his power to catch it.
Mix all of those together, and you get an elite wide receiver. Take that and add in the fact that he bought hundreds of fans his jersey, and you have a franchise cornerstone.
