Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin was up to his usual, surgical ways on Saturday.

The level of hype surrounding Ohio State Buckeyes star quarterback, Julian Sayin, continues to grow after a near-perfect performance against the Penn State Nittany Lions in week 10.

Saturday's college football day started with an all-time Nick Saban joke on this morning's College Gameday. In case you did miss it, Saban cracked a harsh joke on Sayin's old coach, emphasizing why the young quarterback should not have started out of scout team.

"The coach at Alabama played (Julian) at scout team, what a..."

You can listen to the rest of the video yourself. Obviously, Saban was cracking a joke about himself after watching what the young quarterback had done through the first nine weeks of the season.

Little did everyone know that he was going to play his best game of the year today against Penn State.

Sayin finished Saturday's contest completing 20 of his 23 passing attempts for 316 yards and four touchdowns. Yes, your math is correct; he did have more touchdowns today than incompletions. today

He did everything that was asked of him today; from short passes to his tight ends, to intermediate throws that needed precision, Sayin was unstoppable. And when it was time to take the top off, he was as accurate as he could be downfield.

However, his best play today was not any of the throws he made. It was the play that he made with his feet.

On 3rd and 6 with a three-point lead after Penn State went on a 15-play 75 yard scoring drive in the second quarter, the momentum was clearly shifting. There was a level of tension in the stadium knowing that Penn State took Ohio State's first punch and responded to it.

At the snap of the ball, Sayin had to drift left, and while he did that, two rushers broke free and had him dead to rights. Instead of getting sacked, Sayin made a sweet juke move to his right to evade the pressure and scrambled for a 9-yard gain to convert the first down.

Two plays later, Sayin found a streaking Carnell Tate up the center of the field for a beautiful 45-yard touchdown to push Ohio State's lead back up to 10 points.

It was a special sequence of plays that emphatically answered my final question about Julian Sayin: Can the Buckeyes win because of him? The answer is an emphatic yes.

    Final Grade: A+

Sayin proved today that he has everything you want in a quarterback. He is surgically accurate to all levels of the field while staying poise at all times, and when the chips are down, he can make the critical plays.

Ohio State wins huge today against Penn State because of Julian Sayin's near perfect performance.

I hope that Julian knows his way around New York City.
