Ohio State's new transfer safety Earl Little Jr. made some major waves when he compared his experiences at two elite programs.

Ohio State's new safety transfer Earl Little Jr. has a major role on next year's Buckeyes team. He is going to be tasked with replacing safety Caleb Downs, who some could argue was the best defensive player in college football last year.

From what people are saying from inside the camp in Columbus, Little has what it takes to pick up right where Downs left off. There are a lot of reasons for that, but one of them is that he, like Downs, came from Alabama.

Yes, most recently, Little suited up for the Florida State Seminoles for the past two years. However, that is not where he began his career. Out of high school, Little went to Alabama and spent his first two seasons there.

He actually was a teammate of Caleb Downs before both of them went their separate ways when Nick Saban retired. Downs came to Columbus while Little went to Florida State.

The last time the Little was at or in Tuscaloosa was over three years ago, but he made a few comments this week that directly compared Alabama to Ohio State

He said that the two programs have such a different feel to them, specifically in the weight room. He cited that at Alabama, they just kind of go through the motions and get their workouts in. Meanwhile, at Ohio State, they are competing in every single thing that they do.

He finished by saying that at Ohio State, you have to "be at your best every single day."

How far that is away from what the state of the Alabama program is, we really don't know, because it's been a while since Little experienced it. But his experiences at Ohio State right now are valid, and it makes sense why the Buckeyes are at the top of the sport year after year.

The Buckeyes compete every single day. Whether it is a day with the legendary Coach Mick in the weight room or out on the field, there is a winner and there is a loser every single day.

The proof that this style works is in the results in the fall. This program never wavers. No matter how down and out they are, they will always compete to the very end, and that is just a part of their culture.

Now, the goal of this is so that the Buckeyes are beating their competition every single day, so that in the fall, they have more points on the scoreboard.

Sometimes that pays off, sometimes it doesn't, but regardless, those guys are going to compete day in and day out, and as always, may the best man win.
