Arvell Reese is the presumed second overall pick, but as we get closer to the draft, the odds are beginning to change.

Ohio State's Arvell Reese has been penciled in as the No. 2 overall pick to the New York Jets for several months now. The belief was that the draft actually started at pick No.3 after Fernando Mendoza was drafted first and Reese was drafted with pick No. 2.

As we are now under two weeks until the draft, those odds are beginning to change.

Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey has taken the reins as the favorite to land with the New York Jets at pick number two. As it stands, Bailey is -140 to be selected there, where Reese is even money at +100.

This will shake up the NFL Draft in a major way if this goes through.

There is a chance that if Reese doesn't go at pick No. 2, he will go at pick No. 3. He will not fall far, but why is he falling at all?

Well, the biggest reason is a touch of common sense in the evaluation of the top players available in the Draft. At pick No. 2, the ultimate value pick here is a pass rusher. Is that Arvell's strength, or is that something that he became good at in one season in college?

Reese is an elite talent; there is no doubt about that. However, I think it is an obvious thing to say that rushing the passer is not his natural skill. Everything that he has done to this point in rushing the passer has been done by him, learning on the fly.

Bailey and Rueben Bain, for that matter, are natural pass rushers. They made their money in college by getting to the quarterback and developing pass-rushing skills throughout their entire careers. That is not the case for Reese, who is just 12 months into rushing the passer.

Regardless of whether Reese suits up for the Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, or Cleveland Browns, he is going to be a star player in the NFL.

Reese's impact is going to be felt in the NFL nearly right away. I do believe that he is on the TJ Watt trajectory, where he enters the league listed as a "linebacker" but makes his career with his hand in the dirt, rushing the passer.

We are just two short weeks away from Reese and the rest of the Buckeyes hearing their names called and walking across the stage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as they begin their careers.
