Ohio State Buckeyes legend Caden Curry lands with the Indianapolis Colts on day three of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Caden Curry is Ohio State football. Pound for pound, there is likely no one who loves being a Buckeye more than Curry.
On Saturday, he realized his dream of making it to the NFL when he was selected in the seventh round to the Indianapolis Colts.
Curry embodies what it means to be an Ohio State Buckeye. He came to Columbus as a four-star recruit out of Indiana and went to work right away. He wasn't the highest on the depth chart, but it didn't matter. He was going to do whatever he needed to do to be on the team and make a legitimate impact.
His first three years combined, he had 45 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. Then, he exploded onto the scene in 2025.
The defensive end position was a major question mark for Ohio State heading into the 2025 season. Curry put any concerns to bed.
He finished the year with 66 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and 11.0 sacks on the year and was one of the several main reasons for alot of Ohio State's defensive success in 2025.
Now, he gets his chance at the NFL after being a XX round pick.
Curry's path to the NFL was a long and windy road, which will have him prepared for what is to come for him in his career.
As a late-round pick, he is not going to get the first or second opportunity to play real snaps. He is going to have to earn that right.
The easiest way to do that in the league is to become a weapon on special teams. Good for Curry is that he already knows what to do there.
Curry is one of those players who improves the entire team the moment that he steps into the locker room. He is the guy who will pour his heart and soul into a team and buy in 100 percent. Because of his efforts in Columbus, he will go down as one of the all-time great Buckeyes.
He will get his opportunity to do that at the NFL level and start his journey with the Colts.
