More Ohio State Buckeyes find themselves on the Walter Camp Preseason All-American List
The Walter Camp Football Foundation was the latest outlet to release its preseason All-American lists, and as a surprise to really no one, there are Buckeyes all over the list.
If things go well for the Buckeyes next season, the players are going to be racking up all of the postseason awards. There will be position players of the year, Heisman Trophy candidates, and more All-American honors than we even expect.
However, for now, it is just predictions but still, the Buckeyes are all over it.
This week, the Walter Camp Foundation released its pre-season All-American list, and three Buckeyes etched their names on it.
The first team offense is headlined by none other than Jeremiah Smith. The hype for Smith for next season could never reach its peak. He is going to be the best player in the sport and will dominate for the third year in a row. That is, if he is able to avoid injury. Injury is the only thing that could truly stop him in his final year of college football.
The other Buckeyes on the first team is tackle Austin Siereveld.
Siereveld made himself a ton of professional dollars last year after he switched from right guard to left tackle and became one of the best left tackles in the game.
It was impressive for him, and the result was that he is going to be viewed as a left tackle when he is drafted, and he is being viewed by the Walter Camp Football Foundation as one of the top four in all of college football.
The second team offense is headlined by the quarterback, the trigger man, Julian Sayin. Sayin has a lot to prove this year, and Buckeye fans are going to learn a lot about what he is as a player.
With the strength of the Buckeyes' schedule, Sayin is going to be faced with some of the hardest competition that he has ever had. He was special last season against inferior competition and mediocre against the best teams.
He has to get his game on track against the top opponents. If he does, there is a chance he is a first-teamer and will hear his name early in the 2027 NFL Draft.
The Buckeyes received no honors on the defensive side of the football. Those three Buckeyes were the only ones who received the preseason honor. Like we said at the start, if the year goes as planned, these same postseason lists will have Buckeyes everywhere.
If it doesn't, it will look bare, just like this one does.
