After assembling one of the top transfer classes in the country, Jacie Hoyt wasn't finished.

Now, Oklahoma State is going international.

The Cowgirls announced the addition of 6-foot-7 Slovenian center Mojca Jelenc, giving Oklahoma State another intriguing piece to an already impressive roster.

And perhaps that's what makes this addition so interesting.

This isn't a developmental prospect.

This is an experienced player who has already competed against former WNBA stars and current professionals while representing Slovenia internationally.

At 6-foot-7, Jelenc averaged 11.3 points and six rebounds while shooting nearly 39 percent from three-point range in Hungary's top division. Those aren't numbers you typically associate with players her size.

But perhaps the biggest takeaway is what this says about the direction of the program.

After bringing in what many considered the nation's top portal class, Hoyt could have easily been satisfied.

Instead, she's still looking for ways to improve.

And she's willing to look beyond traditional recruiting boundaries to do it.

The modern game is becoming increasingly international, and Oklahoma State appears determined to embrace that reality.

More importantly, the addition gives the Cowgirls something every coach covets.

Size.

Length.

And versatility.

Those traits become even more valuable in March.

Perhaps that's why this move feels less like adding depth and more like adding another weapon.

Jelenc is just the latest addition in what has become a transformational offseason for the Cowgirls.

After landing what many considered the nation's top transfer class, Oklahoma State has added proven experience, scoring and versatility across the roster. Now, Hoyt has supplemented that group with international size and shooting, giving the Cowgirls another dimension in the frontcourt.

Taken individually, each addition addresses a specific need.

Taken together, they reveal something bigger.

Jacie Hoyt isn't simply building a roster.

She's building a team capable of competing for a Big 12 title and making a deep run in March.

If the offseason is any indication, the expectations in Stillwater have shifted from rebuilding to contending.

Because championship programs don't stop searching once they have enough talent.

They keep looking for every possible advantage.

With the addition of Mojca Jelenc, the Cowgirls may have found another one.

And that's a scary thought for the rest of the Big 12.

Jacie Hoyt isn't interested in standing still.

She's thinking bigger.

This seems to be the consistent theme around OSU Athletics right now. Coaches reloading their rosters, not rebuilding them.
