After one of the best seasons by a Cowgirl golfer in recent memory, Oklahoma State's Marta Silchenko has earned national recognition.

The junior from Riga, Latvia, was named a Women's Golf Coaches Association Second Team All-American, becoming the 49th All-American in Oklahoma State women's golf history and the first of her career.

The honor caps off a breakout season in which Silchenko emerged as one of the nation's top collegiate golfers while helping lead the Cowgirls back into NCAA Championship match play for the first time since 2021.

Silchenko's consistency was a major reason for Oklahoma State's success throughout the year. She finished the season ranked No. 16 in the NCAA's official individual rankings, the highest ranking of her career and her first time breaking into the national top 20.

Her résumé extended far beyond the rankings.

Silchenko earned First Team All-Big 12 honors and was named the Big 12 Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year. She also landed on the All-Tournament Team at both the Big 12 Championship and NCAA Championship, proving she could perform on some of the sport's biggest stages.

The rising senior also etched her name into the Oklahoma State record book.

Her 70.96 scoring average ranked as the third-lowest single-season mark in program history. She played at par or better in 20 of her 34 rounds, finishing just two shy of tying a school record set by Caroline Hedwall. Silchenko also recorded 118 birdies during the season, the seventh-highest single-season total in Cowgirl history.

Winning became a regular occurrence as well.

Silchenko captured the first two individual titles of her collegiate career, sharing medalist honors at the Huntington Bank Collegiate before adding an NCAA Chapel Hill Regional championship a month later. Her performance at the Huntington Bank Collegiate included a 13-under-par total, one of the lowest 54-hole scores ever recorded by a Cowgirl.

She also helped lead Oklahoma State to three team victories and finished as the Cowgirls' top individual performer in multiple championship-caliber fields.

Perhaps the most impressive measure of her consistency is what comes next. Silchenko will carry a streak of seven consecutive top-10 finishes into next season, just one shy of matching another program record.

With another year of eligibility remaining, Silchenko enters the 2026-27 season as the centerpiece of Oklahoma State's lineup and one of the most accomplished returning players in college golf.

If this season was any indication, her climb up the Cowgirl record books may not be finished.
