Will OSU continue to dominate Bedlam Rivalry?
The rivalry may look different today.
Oklahoma is now in the SEC.
Conference schedules have changed.
Future Bedlam matchups aren't nearly as common.
When the two schools did meet during the 2025-26 athletic year, Oklahoma State left little doubt about who owned the rivalry.
For the sixth time in the past seven years—and the 11th time in the last 13—Oklahoma State captured the all-sports Bedlam Series.
This year's margin was even more impressive.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls posted an 18-5-1 record against Oklahoma across all sports, the largest single-season margin of victory by either school in the 27-year history of the Bedlam Series.
In other words, this wasn't just another Bedlam victory.
It was domination.
Perhaps the most surprising part?
The series was effectively decided before October.
By Sept. 26, Oklahoma State had already secured Bedlam victories in men's cross country, women's cross country, men's golf and women's golf—giving the Cowboys enough wins to surpass Oklahoma's final Bedlam total for the entire academic year.
That's remarkable.
The rivalry wasn't decided by one dramatic finish in the spring.
It was practically over before most fall sports had reached the halfway point.
Of course, several victories stood out more than others.
David Taylor's wrestling team delivered one of the loudest statements of the year, shutting out Oklahoma 37-0 in front of a sold-out Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Meanwhile, the Cowgirl softball team knocked off No. 1 Oklahoma 6-4 at Devon Park, handing one of the nation's premier programs one of its biggest losses of the season.
Those moments captured the attention, but not the whole story.
The true difference came from Oklahoma State's depth.
Winning an all-sports series requires success across an entire athletic department.
Golf.
Cross country.
Wrestling.
Softball.
Nearly every other sport that contributes to the standings.
That's where Oklahoma State separated itself.
The broader numbers are just as impressive.
Since the all-sports Bedlam Series began in 1999-2000, Oklahoma State now owns a 15-11-1 advantage over Oklahoma.
More recently, the Cowboys have turned the rivalry into something even more one-sided.
Since the 2013-14 academic year, Oklahoma State has gone 11-1-1 in the Bedlam Series.
Even more telling, the five largest margins of victory in Bedlam Series history have all belonged to Oklahoma State during that span.
That's not a hot streak.
That's sustained excellence.
As Oklahoma begins a new chapter in the SEC, opportunities for Bedlam competition may become less frequent.
If this year's results are any indication, the Cowboys aren't letting the rivalry fade quietly.
Instead, they're making sure the final chapters continue to be written in orange.
For at least one more year, Bedlam belonged to Oklahoma State.
It wasn't close either.
