Oklahoma State saw 13 offensive linemen hit the transfer portal - Eric Morris and crew have worked to put a patch on that bleed

Oklahoma State hasn’t been very impressive in regards to a solidified front offensive line in the past two years.

The 2024 season had high hopes with running back, Ollie Gordon, returning as the 2023 leading rusher in college football. Those hopes were soon shut down and Ollie Gordon and the running back room couldn’t manage the success they saw on the ground in 2023.

2025 was no different. Despite having multiple tough runners in Rodney Fields Jr. (now at Kansas State) and others, the Cowboys had an absolutely poor rushing attack in the 2025 season. Some of that was due to play calling, but a lot of it was due to coaching, offensive line blocking schemes and playmakers in the trenches.

The Cowboys saw 13 offensive linemen leave in the transfer portal. In return, new head coach Eric Morris and staff have reeled in 14 transfer portal and incoming freshmen commits to replace them.

We’ll breakdown down how this new incoming group of “pachyderms” will be better than the former group, giving new running back Caleb Hawkins holes to hit and new quarterback Drew Mestemaker time to make throws in the pocket.
