Sooner Legacy Earns Oklahoma Scholarship

Jax Wilkerson of Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert High School picked up an Oklahoma Sooners offer after attending the Brent Venables camp this past week.

The six-foot-seven, 295-pound prospect in the 2029 class is projected as an offensive tackle. He is the son of the late Jimmy Wilkerson, who had a storied career as a defensive end at the University of Oklahoma before spending nine years in the NFL with the Buccaneers, Chiefs, Saints, and Seahawks.

Bledsoe on the Move As Part of UFL Blockbuster Trade

Former Oklahoma Sooner Amani Bledsoe is headed to the Orlando Storm after it was announced Sunday afternoon that the defensive end is part of a three-player trade between the Storm and Stallions. Bledsoe, along with quarterback Matt Corral, is headed to Orlando while the Stallions will receive quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson in return.

Bledsoe has appeared in three contests this season totaling nine tackles, one for loss,  and one sack for the 1-3 Stallions who are coached by AJ McCarron. With the trade, Bledsoe will move from the bottom of the UFL standings to the top joining an Orlando Storm squad that has a one-game lead for first place through four contests with a 4-0 record under longtime Spring football head coach Anthony Becht.

Sooners Add Third Offensive Lineman of Transfer Portal Class

Georgia Tech freshman offensive lineman Peyton Joseph, who was discussed as a visitor earlier this week, announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners on X Saturday after his visit to Norman Friday.

Joseph appeared in six contests for the Yellow Jackets this season and was listed as a backup option on the Georgia Tech depth chart at both left tackle and left guard throughout the season. He entered the transfer portal on January 2.  He was a four-star recruit out of Houston County High School in Fort Valley, Georgia. Joeseph’s offensive line coach, Geep Wade, accepted the same position with the University of Nebraska earlier this offseason.
