Oklahoma Sooner talent floods NFL camps as four UDFAs secure spots, chasing dreams with new teams and familiar faces
In the hours and days following the 2026 NFL Draft, several more former Sooners secured their futures as undrafted free agents (UDFAs).
These signings highlight the depth of talent developed under Brent Venables and the program’s continued ability to place players into NFL camps, where opportunities are earned through hard work, special teams contributions, and proving themselves in rookie minicamp and beyond.
The UDFA haul adds four more names to the growing list of 2026 Sooners heading to the professional ranks. These players battled through the SEC, showed flashes of NFL potential, and now get a chance to chase their dreams on 90-man rosters across the league.
Jaydn Ott, the former Cal standout who transferred to Oklahoma for the 2025 season, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 5-11, 200-pound running back brings proven production from his time with the Golden Bears, including a 1,315-yard, 12-touchdown season in 2023.
His lone year in Norman was limited by a crowded backfield, but his speed (4.49 40-yard dash) and receiving skills give him upside as a depth piece and special teams contributor.
Ott also reunites with former OU running backs coach DeMarco Murray, now with the Chiefs, creating an intriguing fresh start in Kansas City alongside drafted teammate R Mason Thomas.
Marvin Jones Jr., the 6-5, 262-pound edge defender who transferred from Florida State, landed with the Seattle Seahawks. Jones flashed as a pass rusher in Norman with five tackles for loss and two sacks in 2025.
His length, explosive first step, and athletic measurables made him a intriguing prospect on the edge. Seattle’s defensive line, always looking for rotational rushers who can generate pressure, provides a natural landing spot for the Florida native to compete for a roster spot.
Damonic Williams, a stout defensive tackle known for his run-stopping ability, signed with the Arizona Cardinals. The compact, powerful interior lineman recorded 27 tackles, 4.5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks in 2025 while anchoring the middle against SEC offensive lines.
Williams’ strength, leverage, and quick hands project well as a rotational nose tackle or 3-technique in Arizona’s scheme, where he can contribute immediately on early downs and special teams.
Keontez Lewis, the 6-2, 197-pound wide receiver, inked a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lewis brought size and contested-catch ability to the OU receiving corps.
Though his production was modest in Norman, his frame, hands, and route-running savvy give him a chance to develop into a reliable outside or slot option in Tampa Bay’s offense.
These UDFA signings bring Oklahoma’s total 2026 pro class to 11 players (seven drafted and four undrafted).
Many of these players will begin their journeys on special teams, where Oklahoma has a long history of producing standouts.
Training camp battles will determine who sticks, but each has already earned the right to compete at the highest level.
The Sooner pipeline remains strong. Whether through the draft or the UDFA route, players who wear the crimson and cream continue to find homes in the NFL.
Norman will be watching closely as these four join their drafted teammates in chasing championships.
