NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah has become the leader among all of the NFL Draft experts who are floating around. Jeremiah was once an NFL Scout and his eyes typically do not lie.
The 2026 NFL draft is going to be a fascinating one because it lacks a marquee player, but it is filled with many very, very good players across the board.
Several teams will be looking to build depth in this draft, and they will have a great opportunity this offseason. Jeremiah's second version of his mock draft had a shocker in it where he had two Oregon Ducks selected in the first round.
Oregon will have nine draft elligable players in this year's draft, and only just a couple at the top of the charts.
The first one is not the obvious one; it is more of a surprise selection. Jeremiah has the Minnesota Vikings selecting safety Dillon Thieneman with the No. 18 pick. This would be such a high-quality pick for the Vikings, who are trying to find a way to get back into playoff contention.
Their main issue is fairly obvious, but in the first round, Jeremiah has them electing to go defense with Thieneman, who is the very obvious long-term replacement for Harrison Smith.
The second selection is tight end Kenyon Sadiq. Sadiq is largely regarded as the No. 1 tight end this year. Sadiq is coming off a 51 catch, 560-yard, eight-touchdown season in 2025. While those numbers are modest, he has shown incredible athleticism and great ball skills. He is a big ball of clay that can be molded into the next great offensive weapon.
Jeremiah has Sadiq waiting very long on night one to get to pick No. 22 when the Los Angeles Chargers are on the board. He has them selecting the Ducks' tight end to add to their already loaded offensive roster.
This would be an incredible fit for Sadiq, who will become a weapon on Day 1 of his career.
There will be more Ducks going off the board on days two and three, but on night one, Jeremiah has two Ducks hearing their names called to get the Draft going.
