Oklahoma State head coach Eric Morris got honest about Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore ahead of their matchup.
The Oregon Ducks will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Ducks had a rough first game but came out on top over the Boise State Broncos, while the Cowboys lost to Tulsa.
Star quarterback Dante Moore led the way for Oregon in Week 1, completing 28 of 37 passes for 378 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
"He has a really smooth stroke," Oklahoma State head coach Eric Morris said. "The ball gets out fast. Quick release. He's accurate. He's athletic. He's a full-package guy and somebody I think is going to play football for a really long time."
Morris was very complimentary of Moore, calling him one of the best quarterbacks in college football.
In the 2025 season, Moore completed 71.8 percent of his passes for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions while rushing for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

The Ducks will be looking for more consistency after struggling with penalties and failing to sustain drives in the first half against Boise State.
Oregon is a much more talented team than the Cowboys, but they will need to clean up their play to reach their full potential.
"This team is full of good players," Morris said about Oregon. "Obviously, they've done a phenomenal job of building this thing. This is year five for Dan, and he's done a phenomenal job of putting pieces around him, too. When you look at it collectively, the resources, the investment and what they've been able to do there consistently — going to two back-to-back College Football Playoffs, winning some games last year."
The Ducks have one of the best teams in college football and will be a contender to win the National Championship.
However, they dropped from the second-ranked team to sixth in the country and will need an impressive showing against Morris and the Broncos to improve to 2-0 and solidify themselves as one of the best teams in college football.
