The Oregon Ducks bagged quarterback Dylan Raiola in the transfer portal this winter, and now, they appear to be in the process of landing his brother.
Dayton Raiola, a three-star signal-caller from Georgia, will decide on Wednesday night whether he will be taking his talents to Oregon or Nebraska for 2026.
Raiola had initially committed to Nebraska back in September 2024, but decided to decommit from the Cornhuskers this past November.
You would think the Ducks would be the favorites to land Dayton given that his older brother is now in Eugene, but perhaps Dayton would prefer a better chance of playing time elsewhere.
Dayton seems to be content with playing a backup role to Dylan early on, but you do have to wonder if he will have a change of heart.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Raiola is certainly not as highly touted as his elder sibling. In fact, 247 Sports even lists Dayton as an athlete — where he is ranked No. 128 in the composite rankings — rather than a quarterback.

Dante Moore surprisingly decided to return for another season, and Dylan will be prepared to take over the starting role in 2027. The general consensus is that Dylan will redshirt in 2026 to gain an extra year of eligibility.
Meanwhile, Akili Smith Jr. — a former four-star recruit — is on the depth chart as well and appears to be waiting his turn. Fellow four-star signal-caller Bryson Beaver decided to enter the transfer portal following the addition of Dylan and ended up committing to the Georgia Bulldogs.
We'll see if Dayton is still okay with taking his talents to the Ducks with everything they currently have going on under center.
Oregon has posted back-to-back 13-win campaigns, but was routed in the College Football Playoff both seasons. The Ducks were hammered by Ohio State in the Rose Bowl last year and were annihilated by Indiana in the Peach Bowl last month.
The Ducks have registered five consecutive double-digit win campaigns overall and are hoping to finally get over the hump next fall.
With Moore plus others returning to Eugene, 2026 might finally be the year for Dan Lanning's squad.
