Oregon will look to make Eugene feel like home for these high-end players as they attempt to continue their world-class recruiting.

The University of Oregon's football team is not new to being one of the best programs in the nation. They've been one of the more dominant teams in the country for some time, and while they have had solid recruiting classes, it's nowhere near what we see from them now.

Since Dan Lanning has come into the picture, the Ducks have been one of the best schools in the entire country when it comes to recruiting. Since becoming the head coach of the Oregon football team in 2021, he's slowly been raising the caliber of players being signed and widening their reach even more nationally.

They are coming off their best recruiting class of all time, with their 2026 class being the 2nd-ranked nationally, and they're not looking to slow down anytime soon. Their work on the 2027 class has already begun, and they're set to host two studs this next week.

The Oregon Ducks will be looking to continue their hot streak of recruiting when they host two teammates from Sierra Canyon High School in California for visits this next week.

On March 29th, 4-star safety Myles Baker will make his commitment, and on the 31st of the month, they'll be hosting 4-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou.

According to 247Sports, Baker is the 20th-ranked safety in his class and, like many of the country's top athletes, is a dual sport athlete running track and field as well. In 2025, he finished his junior season with 34 tackles (10 TFL), 5 PBU, 2 INT, 2 FF, and 1 sack, per MaxPreps.

Baker will be making his decision between Oregon, Alabama, LSU, Stanford, and California.

The other Sierra Canyon athlete that Oregon will be tied to this week is their star defensive lineman, Marcus Fakatou.

Fakatou is one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the whole class. Through 247Sports, he's ranked as the 5th-best defensive lineman in the country, and the 55th-ranked player nationally overall.

His 6'6 275 frame is quite dominant and helped contribute to his 69 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks.

If the Ducks can secure Baker on Sunday and put together a solid visit for Fakatou on Tuesday, there could be two more legit talents coming to Eugene.
