The Oregon Ducks have had one of the more interesting offseasons of any team across the country this winter, mainly because of the transfer portal.
While Oregon has added some very interesting pieces, it has also lost a slew of talent, so one could almost say Dan Lanning's club has broken even.
Still, the Ducks managed to bag five four-star prospects, including former five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola. That's enough to be fairly excited about Oregon, right?
Well, ESPN's Max Olson doesn't seem to be a huge fan of the Ducks' work in the portal, as he has only ranked two incoming Oregon transfers among his top 50: safety Koi Perich (No. 11) and Raiola (No. 30).
Perich was definitely a terrific get by Lanning. He spent his first two seasons at Minnesota and racked up six interceptions throughout that span, with five of them coming during his freshman campaign.
Last year, Perich registered 82 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and a pick-six. He is a former four-star recruit and should absolutely improve the Ducks' secondary.
The fact that Raiola is ranked 30th, however, shows just how far the ex-phenom has fallen since his recruiting days.

The 20-year-old mostly labored with the Cornhuskers for two seasons and then decided to enter the transfer portal, where he landed in Eugene. He'll be serving as Dante Moore's backup in 2026 and is expected to redshirt.
So, only one Ducks transfer who will actually be getting any real playing time next fall has been placed within Olson's top 50: Perich. That's it.
For an Oregon squad that still has not quite been able to get over the hump in spite of posting back-to-back 13-win campaigns, that is pretty concerning.
Of course, the Ducks should still be national championship contenders next season, especially with Moore deciding to return for another year. But do they have the depth to actually go the distance?
We'll find out next year, but there is no question that these rankings are a bit alarming for Lanning and Co.
