When Dylan Raiola decided to commit to the Oregon Ducks in the transfer portal, he surely knew there was a strong possibility that Dante Moore would return for another year.
In fact, Raiola may have known for sure that Moore was coming back and simply had no qualms with sitting behind him next season.
But is it possible that Raiola could transfer out of Oregon before even getting a chance to suit up for the Ducks?
Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray thinks the potential for a move is there and explained his rationale during a recent appearance on The Zach Gelb Show.
“Or Raiola just decides to transfer again somehow, because he can't stay loyal to anywhere. So you never know what he's going to do," Murray said. "I’m still waiting for some Twitter report that he's, 'Oh, now Raiola’s going back to Nebraska or going here or there.' I don't know man."
Murray then questioned whether or not the transfer portal is a good idea for any players on the collegiate level.

"Just bouncing around. Obviously just not having a home."
Raiola is expected to redshirt in 2026, which would give him an extra year of eligibility so he could technically play quarterback for Oregon in both 2027 and 2028.
But will the former five-star recruit actually stick around that long?
Murray has a point.
Remember: Raiola initially committed to Ohio State in 2022. He then decommitted from the Buckeyes and committed to Georgia in 2023. Seven months later, he reneged on his commitment to the Bulldogs and joined Nebraska.
Raiola was actually a major disappointment for the Cornhuskers, totaling 31 passing touchdowns and 17 interceptions over two seasons in Omaha.
Perhaps the move to the Ducks will help Raiola develop into the player everyone had initially expected, but as Murray noted, there is no guarantee that the 20-year-old will even remain with Oregon through the remainder of his collegiate tenure.
We'll see what happens after next season.
