Oregon Ducks star tight end Kenyon Sadiq had an impressive performance at the NFL Combine, setting the fastest 40-yard dash time among tight ends since at least 2003 with a 4.39-second 40-yard dash.
Sadiq is the top tight end prospect ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and his impressive combine performance only raises his draft stock. In addition to the 40-yard dash, he also had an impressive 43.5'' vertical and 11'1'' broad jump, which were the second and third best ever by a tight end.
With his elite speed, he will likely skyrocket up draft boards, becoming a potential early first-round pick.
Sadiq had a great career with the Ducks. In his freshman season, he didn't play much but had five receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.
He had a bigger role in 2024, catching 24 passes for 308 yards and eight touchdowns.
Sadiq's breakout season at Oregon came in 2025, as he hauled in 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns.
Sadiq could thrive at the NFL level with his size and speed, making him a versatile weapon.
Dan Lanning and Oregon will have some adjustments to make on offense without Sadiq. He was one of the top targets for quarterback Dante Moore, who is returning for the 2026 season.
Moore had an impressive season and likely would've been the second overall pick had he declared for the NFL Draft. In 2025 for the Ducks, he completed 71.8 percent of his passes for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
With Sadiq gone, Oregon will need new weapons to step up around Moore.
The Ducks made it to the College Football Playoff in 2025 and won their first two playoff games, beating James Madison and Texas Tech.
However, Oregon didn't have enough to get past the eventual National Champion, the Indiana Hoosiers, in the Semifinal.
The Ducks had a ton of talent on the roster in 2025, and some players like Sadiq are off to the NFL, but with Moore back, they have a shot to make a deep run in 2026.
While Oregon looks to win a National Championship, Sadiq will focus on making an impact in his rookie season in the NFL after a record-breaking Combine performance.
