Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq has been linked to a strange team ahead of the NFL Draft.

Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq is expected to be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft this month, but his stock has been all over the place.

Some feel he could go as high as the top 10, while others feel that Sadiq will slip to the bottom of Day 1.

Regardless, it would be surprising if Sadiq wasn't selected in the first round, but it would be surprising if he landed with one team in particular: the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns hosted Sadiq for a top-30 visit earlier this week, which is definitely one of the stranger bits of news we have heard regarding the Oregon star.

Cleveland owns a pair of first-round draft picks at Nos. 6 and 24, and it has a plethora of needs up and down its roster. However, tight end is one of the few areas in which the Browns are actually okay.

Last spring, Cleveland selected Bowling Green standout Harold Fannin Jr. in the third round of the draft, and Fannin went on to enjoy a spectacular rookie campaign, hauling in 72 receptions for 731 yards and six touchdowns.

I fully understand that plenty of NFL teams run two tight-end sets in today's era, but would it really make much sense for the Browns to select Sadiq when they have so many glaring needs elsewhere?

There is no question that Sadiq is one of the most freakish athletes in this year's draft class, so maybe this would just be a matter of "best player available" for Cleveland.

Sadiq ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine, breaking Vernon Davis' long-standing record for the best mark by a tight end.

The 21-year-old arrived at Oregon in 2023 and barely played during his freshman campaign, but proceeded to catch 24 passes for 308 yards and a couple of touchdowns his sophomore year.

Then, last season, Sadiq hauled in 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight scores, putting himself on the map as an elite NFL Draft prospect.

Sadiq is one of two Ducks players who could fly off the board in Round 1 on April 23, with the other being safety Dillon Thieneman.

It would certainly be peculiar if the Browns end up being the team that selects Sadiq, however.
