Beyond established stars, rising talents like Jeremiah McClellan and potent freshmen could ignite Oregon's 2026 receiver corps, rivaling the nation's best.

Oregon Might Have Big Surprise in Wide Receiver Room for 2026

Oregon has three major starters returning in 2026.

Quarterback Dante Moore, and wide receivers Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart are expected to be impact players for the Ducks in 2026.

Oregon made it to the College Football Playoff in 2025, winning two games before being thumped by Indiana 56-22 in the semifinal at the Peach Bowl.

Those three above-mentioned players could be key to getting Oregon over the hump to winning a first-ever national championship, though much remains to be seen about how a new offensive line performs.

As we saw last year, the offense struggled when Dante Moore faced pressure from defenders when the offensive line didn't hold up against Texas Tech and Indiana.

What Oregon lacks in the trenches can be made up for with explosive talent at skilled positions.

During his show on Sunday, Josh Pate suggested Oregon should have more playmakers at wide receiver than Dakorien Moore and Stewart. He noted receiver Jeremiah McClellan is having a big spring.

“At Oregon, I feel like we hadn't zoomed in on this wide receiver situation enough at Oregon," Pate said. "We've talked about the wide receiver situation, but thus far when I have talked about wide receiver at Oregon, it's been, 'Oh man, they're going to get Evan Stewart back. That's wonderful.’

"'Oh, Dakorien Moore, man, he's a monster.' Yes, yes, true and true. Those are two players. Normally, you’ve got more than two on the field. And past those names, Jeremiah McClellan is one that we should be talking about more. They're talking about him a lot out of spring practice up there.”

Pate thinks freshman Iverson Hooks and Gatlin Blair could round out the team to give Oregon the best receiver room in the nation.

"Iverson Hooks, Gatlin Blair, a couple of potential impact freshmen, they really could, if they shake up that receiver room and all the little marbles fall into their respective slots, that could be a really, really potent receiver room," Pate said.

"Past just a couple of names, the wide receiver room there, and of course, the DB room, specifically the cornerback position. On the perimeter, no matter if it's offense or defense on the field, Oregon will be tough to match this upcoming year.”

Again, the offensive line will need to do its part to hold up to allow Dante Moore to find his receivers.

With that being said, the offense should be a threat to any defense, especially on the perimeter.
