Oregon's top tight end eyes the 2026 draft. Will he reunite with former Ducks QB Bo Nix in Denver?

Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq Predicted to Land With Former Ducks QB in 2026 Draft

Oregon star Kenyon Sadiq is expected to be the top tight end taken in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Sadiq was a security blanket for quarterback Dante Moore last season. The six-foot-three, 245-pound tight end recorded 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns for the Ducks in 2026.

Sadiq was key in helping Oregon make the College Football Playoff semifinal. He recorded five receptions for 29 yards in his final game for the Ducks in a 56-22 loss to Indiana at the Peach Bowl.

There has been chatter in league circles about the possibility of Sadiq being a top-10 pick in the draft. However, because tight ends aren't seen as one of the more valuable positions in the NFL, it's unclear where the Oregon standout will land.

Dan Parr of NFL Media recently published a mock draft that has Sadiq going to the Denver Broncos at No. 30. If Sadiq goes to Denver, he'd team up with former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix.

"The draft’s top tight end falls right into Sean Payton’s lap, allowing the Broncos to reunite Bo Nix with his former Oregon teammate," Parr wrote. "Sadiq brings versatility and explosiveness to Denver’s offense."

Sadiq wasn't a top target for Nix in 2023, when the two teammates played together. Sadiq only caught five passes for 24 yards and one touchdown in his freshman year.

However, the tight end became more of a focal point for the offense in each season he played in Eugene. Sadiq finished his career at Oregon with 80 receptions for 892 yards and 11 touchdowns. He added 42 yards on nine carries.

Nix played three years at Auburn before transferring to the Ducks in 2022. In 2023, he threw for 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns and three interceptions.

The former Oregon quarterback was selected by the Broncos with the No. 12 pick in the 2024 draft. He led Denver to the AFC championship, but an ankle injury at the end of the Divisional Round kept him from playing against the New England Patriots.

With Sadiq, Nix could have an explosive tight end to help a Broncos team that was a few plays away from making the Super Bowl last season.
