The Oregon Ducks are one of the premier programs in all of college football, and that was very much on display last season as they marched all the way to the national championship before losing to the Indiana Hoosiers.
You don't get to that point in the season as a team without having star players, and the Ducks had those in abundance. A good share of them are set to be drafted, with a few even electing to return to school.
It's not just players, though; it takes just as much of an elite coaching staff as well. Dan Lanning and his staff are about as elite as it gets.
While Lanning is back, there have been some changes to last season's staff, including the big change at offensive coordinator with Will Stein leaving for a head coaching position with the University of Kentucky and Drew Mehringer stepping up in his place.
This next season's coaching staff was revealed the other day, and it included a new offensive assistant who was one of the most electric players in college football.

The Oregon Ducks are bringing in Ryan Switzer.
When Switzer was playing at North Carolina, he captured the nation's attention by being one of the most electric players in the country. He is a former All-American who holds the school records at North Carolina for all-time receptions, receiving yards, punt return yards, and punt return TDs.
He was drafted to the Cowboys and played for the Raiders, Steelers, and Browns as well. He wasn't able to find the same success he had in college, but once he got into coaching, that changed.
In just two years at Tulsa, Switzer rose to become the wide receiver coach and passing game coordinator. He even served one game as interim head coach. Oregon is getting one of the more solid young coaches in the game.
With his history and highlight reel, Switzer will also be massive in recruiting for Oregon. He has a story of showing up at North Carolina at 5'8 and becoming a national sensation. This is relatable for any recruit who feels like they want to prove something.
He's just an offensive assistant for now, but Switzer will quickly prove to be a solid addition to Dan Lanning's staff.
