The Oregon Ducks star could have a solid NFL career if drafted to this team.

The Oregon Ducks have seen all sorts of strong NFL prospects come through the program over the years.

Many of them have been on the offensive side of the ball, especially with Oregon having top units almost yearly. This season is no different, with the Ducks expected to have multiple players be taken in the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft.

Oregon has prided itself on this, offering potential prospects the chance to play in big games in college before going to the league. The Ducks have built a successful program over the years, even if they haven't yet won a title.

This year, one of the top players from the Ducks is tight end Jamari Johnson, who has seen a solid season so far. Johnson has caught 12 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown for the Ducks, helping them stay the course.

The veteran tight end works well in any passing game, and he could be a perfect fit for almost any team's system. Johnson has incredible route-running skills, which are needed to find success at the NFL level.

In a new mock draft from Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski for the 2027 NFL Draft, Johnson gets taken by the Carolina Panthers with No. 19. Johnson would go to one of the top passing units in the NFL, giving him a chance to thrive at the next level.

If Johnson were to be selected by the Panthers, he would get a chance to catch passes from former Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young. After a few shaky first years in the NFL, Young has finally started to put it all together on the field for the Panthers, leading Carolina to the No. 2 passing attack in the league.

Adding someone like Johnson to the mix would only help this team grow even more, and the Panthers do lack a consistent tight end presence. Carolina has veteran Darren Waller, but he isn't the long-term answer for the team.

Johnson is a playmaker through and through, especially after the catch, and he could help open the passing game even more. The Oregon star has reliable hands as well, which should help him succeed in the NFL.

Young likes to find his tight ends down in the red zone, so Johnson could easily pick up big numbers in Carolina. Overall, this could be one of the better landing spots for Johnson among NFL schemes.
