Oregon's athletic tight end Kenyon Sadiq projects as a top draft pick, bringing crucial blocking and receiving skills for a potential Super Bowl contender.

Oregon was strongly represented in February's Super Bowl.

New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez was a star for the defense, but the offense didn't do enough in a 29-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 8. Still, he could be set for an impressive contract extension this offseason.

The Ducks have several players that are set to be drafted in April. Oregon is sending nine players to the NFL Scouting Combine next week, the second-most in program history behind the 12 that went in 2025.

However, tight end Kenyon Sadiq appears to be the only lock to be a Day 1 pick.

Mike Renner of CBS Sports recently projected the Philadelphia Eagles to select Sadiq with the No. 23 pick.

"Even if the Eagles re-sign Dallas Goedert, Sadiq makes sense with the rise of two-tight-end sets leaguewide," Renner wrote. He's the perfect complementary tight end with elite athleticism and the ability to block in space.

"His run-game impact could be as valuable as what he provides as a receiver."

Drafting Sadiq and re-signing Goedert might be in the Eagles' best interest.  Sadiq is a big fan of the 12 personnel he played in at Oregon.

“Yeah, I think it allows us to do a lot of things," Sadiq said of 12 personnel in January, via On3. "You know, we don’t just have to be in a physical, you know, 12 personnel set. We can get in 10 and 11 sets as well.

"So I think that makes it a bit difficult for defenses to figure out what they want to do, whether they want to play in, you know, nickel sets or base sets. So, you know, it gives us a bit of flexibility in a lot of areas.”

Sadiq recorded 51 receptions for 560 yards in 2025, the second-leading receiver on the Ducks.

During his time with Oregon, he recorded 80 receptions for 892 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Eagles are expected to make a run at the Super Bowl next season. With receiver A.J. Brown likely to be traded, Sadiq would give quarterback Jalen Hurts a helpful target on offense.
