Oregon Ducks star A'Mauri Washington has landed a bold NFL Draft prediction.

Oregon Ducks star defensive tackle A'Mauri Washington enters the 2026 season as one of the best defensive players in the country.

Washington opted to stay with the Ducks for another season, but could've been a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft if he had declared.

He didn't have much of a role for Oregon in his freshman season, finishing with two total tackles across eight games. Washington had a bigger role in his sophomore campaign in 2024, as he had 10 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and two pass deflections.

However, it was the 2025 season where he had a breakout year, finishing with 33 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and eight pass deflections.

He proved to be one of the best interior defensive linemen in the nation during the Ducks' run to the College Football Playoff Semifinal last season, where they lost to the Indiana Hoosiers.

With players like Washington and quarterback Dante Moore returning, they are among the favorites to win the National Championship.

Moore is coming off a great season, as he completed 71.8 percent of his passes for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The 20-year-old quarterback also rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Having him back is pivotal for getting back to the College Football Playoff.

If Washington puts together another productive season with a deep run by the Ducks, it could boost his draft stock for the 2027 NFL Draft.

He has been disruptive by winning at the point of attack with his combination of size, power, and speed. While the numbers haven't been eye-popping, he's proven to be a quality run stuffer and pass rusher on the field.

Washington will enter the 2026 season as one of the top interior defensive linemen in the country, and could be an early first-round pick in 2027 if he improves his game even more.
