Oregon Ducks star quarterback Dante Moore has been carted off and taken away in an ambulance after a scary injury against the USC Trojans. 

Moore took off on a scramble and was hit in the head by Desman Stephens II as he was sliding. Stephens was ejected for targeting for his hit on Moore. Moore was down on the ground for a while before being placed on a stretcher and leaving the field. Oregon will hope to receive good news on Moore, as it is clearly a serious injury.

It's a brutal injury for the Ducks, as the 21-year-old star quarterback is one of the best players in college football. Moore was sensational in the 2025 season, helping Oregon reach the College Football Playoff Semifinal, as he completed 71.8 percent of his passes for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Moore could have declared for the NFL Draft and been one of the top selections, but he opted to stay with the Ducks for another season. In the first three games of the 2026 season, Moore has completed 68.5 percent of his passes for 849 yards, nine touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

He was off to a solid start against USC, completing eight of 10 passes for 77 yards while rushing for 10 yards.

With Moore out for the game, Oregon is turning to transfer Dylan Raiola as their quarterback. Raiola is expected to be the starter for the Ducks in the 2027 season and help the team continue competing for a National Championship.

Raiola has experience on the field, as he spent two years playing for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In the 2024 season, he completed 67.1 percent of his passes for 2,819 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

He was even stronger in 2025, completing 72.4 percent of his passes for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Raiola has appeared in one game for the Ducks in 2026, relieving Moore in a blowout, and he played well, completing all 11 passes for 124 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

He can come in and run Oregon's offense effectively, giving them a chance against the 12th-ranked Trojans despite Moore being out for the game, which would help them rise back up in the rankings in the AP Poll.

The Ducks will continue to monitor any updates on Moore and hope to receive good news on Moore's scary injury.
