Moore is still a very good player and will be even better when he's healthy.
University of Oregon quarterback Dante Moore unfortunately finds himself in a tough position due to a brutal injury against the University of Southern California. It's unfortunate that Moore had to go through that, but the promising part is that he seems to be healthy.
The reality is that as long as he feels better after that, everyone can deal with however long he might be out.
As for his NFL draft stock, there were rumors last year that he could have been selected by the New York Jets with the second overall pick. Moore eventually took his name out of NFL draft conversations and decided to return to Oregon, but that doesn't necessarily look to be the perfect decision right now.
As for Moore, he obviously dealt with that injury, and Oregon hasn't exactly played great football.
As a result, some have suggested that he should have just gone to the NFL and gotten his career started. Everything happens for a reason, however, and there's still hope that Moore can eventually be the guy that teams are looking for in the league.
If things go his way, he has a chance to still be selected in the first round. One writer from The Sporting News recently predicted that he could still go in the top five, mocking him to the Miami Dolphins at third overall.
“The Dolphins did their best to bridge at quarterback with dual threat Malik Willis and in the end, they may be positioned to land Manning at No. 1 or No. 2. But at the moment, with the Titans ahead, they need to think about a more long-term franchise answer.
“Moore also is being knocked too much for the Ducks' struggles. He is a natural accurate pocket passer and leader who still made a good decision to return to school,” Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News wrote.
Miami certainly feels in a position to add a quarterback in this year's draft.
Whether the Dolphins want to land Moore is one thing, as he didn’t exactly play great prior to the injury.
However, we have other tape that suggests that he's one of the best quarterbacks in college football, and for a team like Miami that's desperate to add to its quarterback room, anything is possible in that regard. Still, there's certainly a question that has to be answered regarding Moore's health when he eventually returns to the field, but that won't be on Saturday against Nebraska, according to the latest reports.
