The Oregon Ducks have a very underrated player that the Big Ten should fear.

The Oregon Ducks had plenty of players that could have been first or second-round draft picks this year, but most of them decided to stay in school.

One of them was edge rusher Teitum Tuioti, who began his collegiate career at Oregon in 2023 and was productive right from the jump.

Tuioti finished with 30 tackles, four tackles for loss and a couple of sacks during his freshman campaign and then registered 58 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in Year 2, putting himself on the map across the nation.

Then, last season, Tuioti broke out, racking up 68 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and five passes defended.

He and Matato Uiagalelei formed a terrific pass-rushing duo for the Ducks, and both players kind of flew under the radar.

I'm not so sure that will be the case when we get into 2026, but even still, Tuioti remains a very underrated commodity.

Tuioti had a better 2025 campaign than many of the edge rushers who were selected early in the 2026 NFL Draft, including Ohio State's Arvell Reese.

The Laie, Hi. native stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 263 pounds, giving him impressive size for the position. He is also very athletic and possesses more quickness than Uiagalelei, making him more of a versatile pass rusher than his teammate.

While Tuioti could have been a Day 2 pick for sure had he entered the draft this past year, he has the opportunity to establish himself as a potential first-round selection next April, and the Big Ten is surely on notice.

Yes, Oregon lost key pieces like Kenyon Sadiq, Dillon Thieneman, Malik Benson and Noah Whittington, but it's hard to ignore just how terrifying that defense could be with Tuioti and Uiagalelei on the edge.

And yet, it seems that not many outside of Eugene are spending a whole lot of time talking about Tuioti, who could very well be one of the best defensive players in the country heading into his senior campaign.

A double-digit sack season could be on the way for Tuioti, and it will certainly be fun watching him compete with Uiagalelei for draft status next fall.
