Oregon had a chance to send a couple of big names into the 2026 NFL Draft.
Fortunately for the Ducks’ championship hopes next season, quarterback Dante Moore decided to return for one more season in college football instead of leaving for the league.
Moore was expected to be the second quarterback taken in the draft if he left Eugene. He could have been taken as high as No. 2, with the quarterback-needy New York Jets set to pick at that spot after the Las Vegas Raiders pick at No. 1.
Moore is hoping to refine his skillset in his second season as a starter in college. But he'll lose one of his best targets from 2025.
Tight end Kenyon Sadiq revealed he's declaring for the draft. He's expected to be the top tight end taken in April.
ESPN's Adam Schefter thinks he could be taken in the Top 10.
Ryan Smith of Pro Football Focus doesn't have Sadiq going that high, which might work out well for the career of the Oregon star.
Smith is projecting the Philadelphia Eagles to take Sadiq with the No. 23 pick in the draft, giving quarterback Jalen Hurts another target with tight end Dallas Goedert heading to free agency.
"Dallas Goedert is a free agent, which could cause the Eagles to turn to the draft for their tight end of the future," Smith wrote. "Sadiq is one of the most athletic tight ends to come out in recent memory.
"He projects to be a matchup nightmare at the next level with his skill set and versatility. Sadiq led all FBS tight ends with eight receiving touchdowns in 2025 and ranked in the top 10 in deep receptions of 20-plus yards (nine) and contested catches (seven)."
The Eagles are heading into a 2026 season where it's Super Bowl or bust for the coaching staff. Philadelphia recently hired Sean Mannion away from the Green Bay Packers to become its next offensive coordinator after Kevin Patullo was fired.
The Packers offense relied heavily on tight end Tucker Kraft in 2025.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown could be traded this offseason.
If Sadiq lands in Philadelphia, he could quickly become a primary target for Hurts on a team that is expected to make a deep playoff push in 2026.
