After flashing his elite potential as a freshman, Oregon wide receiver Dakorien Moore enters 2026 with a new level of confidence. The former five-star recruit believes he's ready to join the nation's top receivers and become a key piece of the Ducks' championship pursuit.
When quarterback Dante Moore returned for his final season at the University of Oregon, he didn’t just elevate the Ducks’ championship chances
It quickly elevated the wide receivers around him.
Coming into this season, it’s very possible that the Ducks will have one of the more dynamic wide receiver rooms in all of college football. But one receiver just may be the most intriguing.
Wide receiver Dakorien Moore was the top-rated recruit in the 2025 class, and for good reason.
He has elite separation, the ability to catch the ball anywhere on the field, and tremendous hands.
However, Moore, who battled injuries, had a hard time being anything more than a depth piece on a loaded roster.
But do depth pieces tally nearly 500 receiving yards on 14.6 yards per catch and a trio of touchdowns?
As we gear up for the 2026 season, there’s no reason to believe that he can’t elevate his game to the next level – and he’s not afraid to tell you just that.
“I think I'm going to be probably one of the best receivers in the nation next year,” Moore said on Oregon Media Day.
Moore added that the results of his training will essentially do the talking all season, however, he’s feeling an air of confidence that he didn’t feel last season.
“I would say I'm way more confident. Last year, I had them freshman jitters – just going out there not knowing what to expect. But as the season went on, of course, you get more comfortable being out there.”
Oregon's unofficial depth chart lists veteran Evan Stewart atop the receiver room, with Moore right behind him. If both players reach their potential, the Ducks could field one of the nation's most dangerous receiving tandems.
"They're just going to be so versatile together," On3’s J.D. Pickell said. "Dante Moore is seasoned and savvy, great at identifying coverages and great at putting the ball where it needs to be. He's going to be able to throw Dakorien Moore open pretty frequently. I think Dakorien Moore can play any position on the football field when it comes to what you're going to ask of your receivers at Oregon. You can line him up and pick your matchup."
It’s one thing to say you’re the best, but to be the best is a totally different story.
If Oregon is going to reach its championship aspirations, Moore's continued development will play a major role in getting the Ducks there.
