With the max exodus of legitimate players from Eugene, picking up this borderline elite center would be a massive step in the right direction.
The Oregon Ducks are entering a very important offseason for their basketball program. Although they're not a favorite each year to make a deep run in March, 12-20 simply isn't good enough for a school like Oregon.
To improve next season, the Ducks have a few items on their checklist.
One, and arguably most importantly, they have to decide if they want Dana Altman back next season. Oregon has said they're committed, but with three players choosing to enter the transfer portal, should they be?
Next, they have to do a solid job of recruiting the 2026 class. So far, they're not looking too bad. They've now secured two four-star players in Tajh Ariza and Kendre Harrison, and recently three-star Seven Spurlock.
Lastly, with three players choosing to leave Eugene and enter the transfer portal, the Ducks will need to replenish that talent by bringing in some transfers of their own. Today, a fantastic option has become available.
Colorado Center Bangot Dak Enters Transfer Portal

They'll definitely need more bodies, but with their leading scorer and 7'0 center, Nate Bittle, also graduating, they'll need some size. Enter Colorado's Bangot Dak.
The big man out of Boulder had a great season last year, averaging 11.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 1.6 BPG on nearly 50% from the field. His size and imposing defense down low would be much appreciated in Eugene.
Dak is an unbelievable shot blocker and is a notable presence around the rim. He's the type of player that coaches must gameplan around every night and is a nightmare for opponents.
Dak crashes the glass hard and is going to be a high-energy night in and night out. He has a nice touch around the rim and can score efficiently for a big man. He's basically an all-around player for a big, other than an outside jumper, and has an even higher level to reach.
If the Ducks are able to bring in Dak, it would greatly improve next year's hopes, and even if it doesn't turn them into contenders, the energy level in Matthew Knight Arena will be turned up a notch.
