There's a lot that Penn State quarterback Drew Allar will have to deal with during his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he will now play for one of the most storied franchises in NFL history.

Allar, who was viewed as the potential No. 1 pick entering the year, didn't have the season that he was expected to in Happy Valley during his final campaign. I'm unsure if we should put a whole bunch of stock into what it looked like, but the tape doesn't lie at times, and at points, he needed to be better.

Regardless, he now has an opportunity to win a job in Pittsburgh, and despite the quarterback room being somewhat crowded with Allar, Ohio State star Will Howard, and Mason Rudolph, even without Aaron Rodgers making a decision yet, there have been questions about how much of a chance he has.

"No, not at all," Mike McCarthy said Saturday, per ESPN. "This is about developing the room and trying to make the room as deep as we possibly can."

McCarthy later added that he really wants to see what this quarterback room can look like, and he has a lot of confidence in it being one of the more above-average units in the league.

"These are all questions, answers, hypotheticals that really, it won't change what I've already said," McCarthy said.

"I will coach the hell out of that room. I have a lot of confidence. I have history and experience that I will give everything I can to any quarterback in that room… CBA rules is the only challenge we have," McCarthy said. "But everybody coaches under 'em. It's a good place to be. I was very impressed with Will last week [at voluntary minicamp]. I know he's a good athlete. ... But there's a training regimen that's involved, but we'll stick to it. And I'm excited about both those guys."

This can be a good thing for Allar, or it could be viewed as a bad thing, as it sounds like multiple quarterbacks will get a chance to win a job.
