It's too early for this to be an issue.

Whenever we hear about player only meetings in the first month of the season, there's often a major problem. For Penn State, that seems to be the case, as the Nittany Lions haven't played the kind of football anyone expected through the first couple of weeks of the season.

Penn State came away with a 45-0 win against Marshall, a 27-9 victory over Temple, and a 55-13 win over Buffalo.

After a somewhat lackluster start to the season on the out-of-conference side, Penn State struggled against Wisconsin, losing 24-20 after holding a 17-point lead.

That prompted a team meeting, according to reports and players on the roster, with Penn State's longtime veteran apparently leading the way.

“We had a big players’ meeting yesterday, and we all looked at each other and said, ‘We still have everything in front of us. We're going to continue to go out there and grind,’” Rocco Becht said Tuesday, per The Daily Collegian

“Becht was one of the leaders of the meeting, which isn’t surprising considering he’s one of the leaders on the team. His vocal leadership has been highly talked about in the last couple of days, including talking in front of the team following the loss on Saturday,” The Daily Collegian wrote.

Becht is the one guy who really needs to look in the mirror and say that he needs to play better. If there's one positive coming out of all of this, it's that he hasn't said he has played up to standards.

I'm curious to see how this is going to change things, but I have my doubts on whether it will. There's a possibility Penn State just isn't that good and team meetings don't change that. I hope I'm wrong, but Becht has to show me more.

He's a guy who is going to be honest with himself, and after one of the worst quarterback performances that we've seen in quite some time for Penn State on Saturday against Wisconsin, there's nothing else to say besides that he was not up to standard.

I'm glad to see he at least admitted that and is taking initiative to fix things.
