Former Penn State star Saquon Barkley finds himself in one of the better situations in the entire NFL. Not only is Barkley on a very good team, but he's certainly one of the better players in the NFL.

All he's done throughout his career is prove that he can run it with the best of them, and as a result, he's won a lot of games in Philadelphia because of what he does on the ground. Unfortunately, not everything is all sunshine and rainbows for Philadelphia.

The Eagles have a very good roster right now, though there's an expectation that it's going to change in the immediate future, as star wide receiver AJ Brown is expected to be traded.

Speaking to reporters about it, the former Penn State star admitted that while he understands it's a business, he won't say anything bad about Brown because of who he is as a person and a player.

"I don't think we've really addressed it," running back Saquon Barkley said in his Wednesday news conference. "It's football. It's the National Football League. It's gonna be a hard time for me to say anything bad about A.J. Brown. I'm a big fan of A.J. Brown. One of my really good friends. One of my favorite teammates I've ever been around. Just respect him as a man.

"But this is a business. It's the NFL. If I'm not here, Jalen (Hurts) [is] not here, whoever's not here, the show goes on. That's how the NFL operates. You don't really address it. It's not really anything to be addressed. You just go about your work and keep getting better. Whatever happens, that's above my pay grade. I'm just focused on being the best player that I can be and also be the best leader that I can be for this team going into next season."

It's impossible to ever blame a couple of players for how the Eagles played last year, though Jalen Hurts, Brown, and Barkley didn't play the type of football they were expected to. Factor that in with some of Brown's comments in the media, and it isn't surprising that Barkley has to make some of these comments about what the future looks like for him in Philadelphia.
