Penn State defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton arrived at the Senior Bowl with a clear mindset, and it was to show scouts and evaluators that he’s one of the best players in the nation. For the Nittany Lions’ star, the week in Mobile is about showing what he believes he’s already shown, and it’s that he belongs among the top defensive prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft class.

Dennis-Sutton was decent in his final season in Happy Valley, emerging as one of Penn State’s most consistent defensive players. However, it’s tough to say that he was as good as we were all hoping for, though it’s tough to say he wasn’t due to all of the problems on the roster and other factors.

“It was just another opportunity to show that I’m the best player on the field,” Dennis-Sutton said, per PennLive. “That’s how I try to go into every game, and I did that at the Pinstripe Bowl. I think I did that throughout the whole season. And that’s my goal here at the Senior Bowl.”

Instead of viewing this event as a showcase strictly for showing scouts that he can get to the quarterback, Dennis-Sutton saw it as a way to demonstrate his entire gameone day at the NFL level.

“That I can do everything on the field,” Dennis-Sutton said. “I’m a four-down player. I’m not just a run stopper. I’m not just a pass rusher. I’m also an all-star on special teams. I can do it all.”

“The two things I base my game off of is effort and physicality. Those are two things that will never be in question. Those are two things that I can control,” Dennis-Sutton said. “Some guys like to just rush the passer. But I do it all. Some people think they’re above special teams. That’s not me. I’m here to play football. Whatever coaches need me to do, I’m going to do it.”

That attitude should resonate strongly with NFL scouts throughout the week. Scouts love players who are willing to do it all and it sounds like the former Penn State defender is willing to do just that.
