Penn State Nittany Lions star Nick Singleton has been selected in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Penn State Nittany Lions star running back Nick Singleton is off to the NFL, as he was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 165th overall pick in the draft.

He now joins a young Titans offense led by second-year quarterback Cam Ward. Singleton will be another weapon for Ward alongside Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears.

Singleton was immediately an impact player for Penn State, rushing for 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns on 156 carries. He added 11 receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown.

He had another great season in 2023, as he rushed for 758 yards and eight touchdowns, along with 26 receptions for 308 yards and two touchdowns.

Singleton had his best year in 2024, rushing for 1,099 yards and 12 touchdowns on 172 carries, while hauling in 41 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns.

However, his numbers dipped in his senior season, as he totaled 549 yards on the ground and 13 touchdowns. Singleton also had 24 receptions for 219 yards and a touchdown.

His touchdown production was there, but he had nowhere near the same impact in yards or yards per carry in 2025.

Singleton was impressive at the combine, ranking first among running backs in athleticism score and ninth in production score. That boosted his draft stock despite a shaky 2025 season.

The shaky season was synonymous with the Nittany Lions team as a whole, as it was a very disappointing season. They finished with a 7-6 record and missed out on the College Football Playoff.

Penn State entered the year among the teams expected to compete for the National Championship, but fell way short, leading to the firing of head coach James Franklin midseason.

The Nittany Lions hired Matt Campbell to replace Franklin and will look to have a bounce-back year in 2026, while Singleton will make his mark in the NFL.
