Penn State will be represented all throughout this weekend's NFL Draft. Here are the final projections for each of the Penn State prospects.
Penn State Nittany Lions will be all over the 2025 NFL Draft this weekend in Pittsburgh. It will start early for Penn State and then will continue throughout the entire weekend as there are going to be Nittany Lions coming off the board at all times.
If it were one year prior, the projects would be much higher than they are this year. For the most part, everyone lost about a round and a half after the disaster that was the 2025 season in Happy Valley.
However, it will get started late in the first round as guard Olaivavega Ioane is likely going to be the very first interior offensive lineman off the board. It is likely going to come in the early to mid-20s, but whenever the teams are ready to turn their attention to the interior offensive line, Ioane is going to be the first one off the board. Have your eyes on a team like Pittsburgh or the Chargers to select Ioane.
Once Ioane is off the board, there will be a bit of a wait until the next Nittany Lion goes, and that is likely going to be edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton. Dennis-Sutton is a very intriguing prospect as he stands at a slim 6'5" with a ton of room to continue maturing into his body. He is projected to go between picks 50 and 70.
The next Nittany Lion is probably one of my favorite mid-round prospects, and that is Zakee Wheatley, the rangy, tough safety from the back end of Penn State. He is slated to go somewhere around the third round, and whoever snags him is getting a ball player.
© Samantha Madar/Colum | 2025 Nov 1 All right, the most polarizing player in the draft is Penn State quarterback Drew Allar. In my honest opinion, I believe that his ceiling is the second round while his floor is the middle of the fourth. I could envision a coach like, let's say, Sean McVay, falling in love with the potential and picking him early to be the heir apparent to Stafford. Or, if he isn't worth the risk, he will be on the radar of every single team in the fourth round if he makes it that far. The traits are simply too good not to take a risk at some point.
The fifth round will see a couple of Nittany Lions come off the board as both defensive tackle Zane Durant and running back Kaytron Allen are both projected to be fifth-round picks in this draft.
Rounds six and seven will put the bookend on a decent draft for the Nittany Lions. The final three players that should come off the board are running back Nick Singleton and offensive linemen Drew Shelton and Nolan Rucci.
All seven rounds will be eventful for the Nittany Lions as this class takes their talents to the next level.
