Nothing went right for the Penn State Nittany Lions this season. They entered the year with national championship hopes but ultimately saw James Franklin get fired, Drew Allar suffer a season-ending ankle injury and finished 6-6 overall.
Penn State ultimately qualified for a bowl game and will be facing the Clemson Tigers in the Pinstripe Bowl in a battle of disappointing teams, one of the most hollow victories you can imagine.
But while the Nittany Lions laid a massive egg as a whole in 2025, they should still see a handful of their players get selected in the NFL Draft this coming April, and perhaps one of their most interesting prospects is edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton.
Dennis-Sutton was viewed as a potential first-round talent going into the campaign, but he had a rather discouraging season, registering 38 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
It certainly wasn't a bad year for Dennis-Sutton, but considering he racked up 42 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and an interception in 2024, he definitely fell short of expectations.

"2025 hasn’t been as consistent as Dani Dennis-Sutton likely hoped, but the flashes have still been impressive," Infante wrote. "He still has the size, length, and explosiveness to make NFL teams want to take a shot on him as a developmental edge rusher with starting upside."
The Patriots could definitely stand to add another pass rusher, especially if they end up losing K'Lavon Chaisson to free agency. So, Dennis-Sutton would absolutely be a fit in Foxborough.
At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, the 21-year-old possesses a terrific blend of size, athleticism and burst that should help him translate on to the professional level very well.
Dennis-Sutton arrived at Happy Valley in 2022 and received significant playing time right off the bat, logging 17 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a pick during his freshman year.
The fact that the Millsboro, De. native earned legitimate snaps in all four of his seasons with the Nittany Lions should have him NFL-ready.
