Peter Schrager released one of his two pre-draft mock drafts, and in it, he had Vega Ioane higher than anyone has ever had him.

Peter Schrager releases two mock drafts prior to every draft. Earlier this week, he released the first one, and it had cirveballs all over it.

At this point, two weeks before the draft, every team and every fanbase has honed in on a handful of players that their team is interested in. Maybe there are two position groups that a team needs to prioritize, and there are a handful of players that will be there at their draft spot.

Then, Schrager comes in and messes it all up. Schrager is one of the most plugged-in guys in all of NFL media, as he is close friends with a lot of the coaches and members of front offices.

I'm sure that some of the personnel tell the truth, while others lead him on just a little bit. Regardless, what we predict is coming straight from the league, so there is a lot to believe in what he predicts.

This mock draft is just the first 32 picks in the first round, and of course, Penn State has one player going on night one.

Vega Ioane is going to be a first-round pick; the only question that remains is how high he is going to go.

Schrager's draft prediction has him going higher than he has in any other one to this point, and this fit is a great one for Ioane.

We can all envision it now, the jingle hits and the graphic flashes across the screen while Roger Goodell takes the stage. With the 17th pick in the NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Vega Ioane, guard, Penn State.

Vega Ioane lined up directly next to Penea Sewel is a match made in heaven. Ioane would immediately become an integral component of a team that is competing to win a Super Bowl.

The Lions have their eyes set on getting back to the playoffs and making a run to the Super Bowl. With the departure of a couple of key pieces to the offensive line, I personally have them going offensive tackle with this pick, but they go with the best lineman available, and that guy comes from Penn State.

Ioane's floor is pick No. 28 to the Houston Texans, and his new ceiling pick No. 17 to the Detroit Lions.
