Purdue is back on top in the Associated Press top-25 college basketball poll on Monday after a week in the No. 2 spots. They had two impressive wins over Alabama and Akron. Louisville, Illinois and Gonzaga were the biggest movers. See how the rest of the rankings shifted.

Purdue was the preseason No. 1 in the Associated Press college basketball top-25 poll, but slipped a spot last week after a shaky debut the first week of the season. But after smacking highly regarded Alabama in Tuscaloosa last week, the Boilermakers are back on top, jumping Houston.

Purdue beat Alabama 87-80 and then beat Akron 97-79 on Sunday to reclaim the top spot. Coach Matt Painter earned his 500th win vs. Akron.

Louisville, Illinois and Gonzaga were the biggest movers this week, all jumping up six spots. Texas Tech and UCLA were the biggest losers, dropping four spots each. Louisville is up to No. 6, and Illinois is No. 8.

Five teams received first-place votes. Purdue led the way with 44 votes, followed by Houston (12), Connecticut (2), Arizona (2) and Duke (1).
